Simon qualified in 1982 and since then has specialised in all aspects of corporate, finance and commercial legal work. In the public company field this has included advising companies and financial institutions on takeovers, flotations, reverse takeovers and rights issues. In the private company sector he has advised companies on transactional m&a, joint ventures, some of a substantial nature, business sale and purchases as well as private equity transactions and funds.
Simon has also experience of project and financing transactions acting for banks and corporates on their financing transactions.
Simon has particular expertise in the chemicals, energy and minerals, technology and the pharmaceutical sectors.
Simon has regularly acted internationally and in recent years he has advised on transactions in Western and Eastern Europe, U.S.,Russia, Kazakhstan, the far East, West Africa and the Middle East.
